This is a 1920’s Miller Rubber Radio Speaker Horn with a reclaimed cherry tree base.
The speaker horn is marked "Patent Applied for by The Miller Rubber Co. Akron, Ohio USA." The Miller Rubber Company manufactured a number of rubber products, including surgical apparatus, car tires, and molded products, including horns for a number of radio manufacturers. Just before the Great Depression, Miller Rubber was bought by BF Goodrich.
The horn is made of molded hard rubber with a steel neck. Horn is approx. 15” in diameter. The entire piece is 22” tall and 13" deep.
