Siren #186: Bellow
Our Sawdust Sirens are old style acoustic amplifiers for your new phone's speaker. Simply put your phone in and have a listen. If your phone has stereo options you may want to play around with mono and stereo settings to see which you prefer.
This particular antique/vintage car horn is approximately 9” tall with a 6” bell and married to a reclaimed walnut base from a fallen tree on Park Ave. in Swarthmore, PA. This wood has lots of character with all its original hairline cracks, a natural edge, & a knot in the base. This type of horn would have been mounted on the side of a car or motorcycle and used to have a reed and rubber ball attached to it. The base is finished with Betty’s Board Butter (beeswax and mineral oil). You may wish to re-oil your base occasionally.
